Joseph Zaino, DMD grew up in Dublin, OH and is a member of St. Brigid of Kildare parish. He earned his bachelor of arts in zoology with a concentration in molecular biology from Miami University in 2012, and his doctorate of dental medicine from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2017. Zaino works currently works in a government sponsored suboxone clinic treating heroine and meth addicts, as well as the generally underserved population. He took the lead in bringing Young Catholic Professionals (YCP) to Columbus and has served as the local chapter's president since June 2017. YCP Columbus is the largest young adult organization in the Diocese of Columbus and is part of a nationwide organization that invites all Catholics and non-Catholics to experience Christ in a community of believers. YCP offers monthly speaking engagements, networking opportunities, retreats and happy hours.
As a member of the planning committee, Zaino's role is a liaison for marketing as well as the general needs of the committee. He believes this conference is vital in further establishing the young adult community that has been lacking in Columbus until recently. A community of believers is necessary to maintain the faith in today's world and a large gathering of young adults in such a faith filled setting will foster new friendships, relationships, enhance our growing community, and bring each participant closer to Christ. CCYAC will be the first of its kind in Columbus and will just further grow the young adult Catholic community in our diocese.
